Overview
Based in Boise, Idaho, our Addiction Medicine Fellowship is a one-year program that strives to provide a unique and collaborative approach to education in the diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders through a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and residential treatment programs that will prepare trainees to provide an evidence-based and multi-disciplinary approach to the field of Addiction Medicine.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to improve the health of Idahoans by creating leaders in Addiction Medicine that will use their training to expand evidence-based addiction services throughout the region through clinical services, education, and advocacy. The fellowship aims to train a workforce that practices compassionate, patient-centered, evidenced-based addiction treatment and increases access to substance use disorder services through patient advocacy, outreach and participation in local, state and national associations. The fellowship will focus on fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages compassion and critical thinking in a variety of patient care settings and transitions.
